What You’ll Do:

As a member of the PlanetArt team, you would report directly to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager. Working in a highly dynamic manufacturing environment -- in which we operate a broad range of personalization and fulfillment equipment – your primary responsibility will be to support the end-to-end project and data management that underlies the overall facility maintenance plan and execution. This includes the utilization of our CMMS software and the development and management of overall maintenance scheduling activities. You would be expected to open job tickets, schedule preventive maintenance, and keep accurate inventory of equipment and parts. As part of the CMMS administration you would be expected to dynamically update the system for new equipment and parts, to generate custom reports to monitor usage and cost, and to support the reconciliation between our operations reporting and our financial reporting. Last but not least, this is hands-on technical role – meaning you would be expected to support equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, monthly equipment checks, and close collaboration with our day-to-day production and fulfillment teams.

Schedule:

Full-time, Monday through Friday 6 am to 2:30 pm. Mandatory 10- and 12-hour days, including weekend hours, during all peak periods. This position may transfer to 2nd shift as it may be required during peak periods, such as Q4 (runs mid-October through a few days before Christmas).

Job Responsibilities:
  • Administration of CMMS software and open tickets
    • Receive and process incoming work orders, reprioritize as needed.
    • Schedule, track and follow up on preventative maintenance tasks
    • Keep accurate inventory of parts. Add parts and equipment to CMMS database
    • Follow up on completed tasks. Ensure proper documentation and close cases.
    • Build a knowledgebase.
    • Build custom reports.
    • Obtain training and read manuals of new equipment; build checklists and add preventative maintenance scheduled assignments within Hippo CMMS
  • Perform job duties as assigned: preventative maintenance tasks and break fix on equipment.
  • Order parts and communicate with vendors.
  • Develop daily/monthly maintenance checklists.
  • Update maintenance procedures
  • Responsible to gain in-depth knowledge on all production and facilities equipment.
  • Read and fully understand equipment service manuals.
  • Develop preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial maintenance or equivalent is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a maintenance role including user or administrator of CMMS software.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to work changing hours and possibly night shift for 6 weeks.
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Physical Demands:
  • While performing this job, the employee will be working in a manufacturing environment.
  • This role may be exposed to the following: heavy machinery, dust, noise, frequent and sustained walking and/or standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Repetitive activities, including but not limited to: pulling, pushing, grabbing and repetitive hand motions.
  • Appropriate clothing is required.
